About

Hi there! I’m Becca and I’ve been cross stitching since I was about 14, which means it’s been roughly 25+ years since I did my first project.

I mostly stitch for myself, but I love to stitch projects for my family and friends. I especially love making projects for my niece and nephews.

In addition to cross stitch, my hobbies include:

• reading - I love the Outlander series, the Bridgerton series, romantic comedies, sports romances, etc. I read to escape, so I don’t read anything with heavy material.
• playing cozy video games - I play the Sims, Disney Dreamlight Valley and Animal Crossing mostly but I love a good Mario Party or Mario Kart session, especially with my siblings.
• playing card and board games with my family - our current favorite games are Flip 7, Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, and Take 5.
• listing to music - I’m someone who just likes to turn on music on shuffle and listen. I’m a child of the 90s so that music is chef’s kiss, but I grew up listening to a very wide range of genres and that appreciation has stayed with me.

When it comes to TV, I mostly just watch sports, but I do love RuPaul’s Drag Race USA and UK and I watch Bridgerton and Outlander. I watch The Great British Baking Show (the USA name for The Great British Bake Off) and I marathoned all 10 season available of The Great British Sewing Bee that I could get my hands on this summer.

Regarding sports, I have discovered that I tend to follow sports that I have an emotional connection to. For example, I love baseball and the Boston Red Sox (and the Seattle Mariners) will always be my beloved teams… but I don’t feel drawn to the sport anymore. One main reason is because the player I followed closely retired. So most of my interest in the teams I follow is (or started as) based on current/past players.

If you’re curious, my favorite sports teams are as follows:

• NFL - New England Patriots, Los Angeles Chargers, Denver Broncos(, Marcus Mariota)
• NHL - Boston Bruins, Seattle Kraken
• College Sports (Football, Basketball) - University of Oregon Ducks
• NBA - Boston Celtics
• WNBA - New York Liberty, Los Vegas Aces, Portland Fire
• Unrivaled - haven’t decided yet, but likely leaning Phantom like last year
• MLB - Boston Red Sox, Seattle Mariners
• Formula 1 - I don’t have a favorite yet, the 2025 season was the first season I watched every race for. I got into the sport because of the Formula 1: Drive to Survive series on Netflix.
